Christophe Claret
A partner of prestigious brands for exclusive movements since 1987 and the author of several world firsts each year, Christophe Claret draws his ideas from a wellspring of authentic horological culture. In order to achieve complete independence, Christophe Claret has created his own workshops, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and able to perform the full range of watchmaking operations, making it a genuine “Manufacture” in the noblest sense of the term. Christophe Claret stands for perfect mastery of grand complications, with a marked preference for tourbillons, minute repeaters and musical watches. It all began in Geneva, where this dedicated artisan trained at the Geneva Watchmaker’s School and then with a “cabinotier” who taught him some of the tricks of the trade. He subsequently began purchasing, restoring and reselling complicated watches for collectors. At the 1987 Basel Fair, Christophe Claret landed his first significant order. He then settled in La Chaux-de-Fonds where he created his own company in 1989, before subsequently relocating to the heights above Le Locle, in the Manoir du Soleil To mark the 20th anniversary of his Manufacture, Christophe Claret has created an exclusive timepiece named DualTow, vividly reflecting his personal and brand philosophy. Housing several inventions, one of them patented, this single-pusher planetary-gear chronograph with striking mechanism and tourbillon expresses both technical excellence and absolute aesthetic sophistication. This provocative and peerless commemorative timepiece is available in a limited edition of 68 watches, each unique and customisable.
